Niece Therapy

Met mum @ amk hub on fri. We went to MOSBurger for dinner. She asked me to order rice burger for her. I ordered one of my fav for her - Kakiage Rice Burger...quite surprised that my mum actually likes MOSBurger as she is quite a no fastfood, no mayo person. Yeah I have one more dearie to share MOSBurger cravings with:)

Seeing my niece as always is a therapy. Much better than retail therapy:P

With no jap classes on sat now, sis & I decided to walk from sk to my aunt place at seletar hills in the late morn. The morn breeze was nice. While we were 2 junctions away from sk new sports complex, a bus uncle driving an empty coach with kallang leisure park graphics printed signalled to us. The route ahead was straight & empty. He winded down his windows & said he cld give us a ride. We were hesitant but didnt know how to reject his offer. Onboard the empty bus, we realised he thought we were on our way to the sports complex for swimming. Nope, we told him we were heading towards jalan kayu area. He was indeed a kind-hearted soul, saying he wld drove us further up so we did not have to walk so far. Though our exercise plan is half-spoilt, we felt grateful to bus uncle.

Having not seen my beloved niece for close to 2 mths, she is beaming all the way. She has grown a little taller with longer hair & knows how to call yiyi now. I am offically "Yiii" to her. Snds old but guess I hve to accept it with grace. Her fav action with me is hug hug with arms wide open. Fav action with sis is knocking shoulders. We brought her to the nearby park for a walk. A sat filled with such simple joy:) Blissful (",)

Santouka らーめん 山頭火

I prefer soba all these while. However, have a sudden crave for some good ramen.

All set to go for either Marutama or Santouka @ Central. Looking at the snake queue @ Marutama, we settled for Santouka.

Fio & I had the set meals of ramen in shoyu (soy sauce) & miso (soybean paste). She chose fried rice while I chose the mountain grated yam rice. SJ ordered toroniku shoyu ramen. The soup base is strong & good but too saltish. Found out from waitress that shio (salt base) is the popular & least saltish among the 3 bases. Maybe will try the next time.

No drinks. We settled for azabu sabo hokkaido icecream in the end. Had my usual green tea with red bean. Just nice to end it off with my sweet tooth:)

TIme to get going on my jap hw:P
