omg time flies...exams on mon...& I'm trying to recall what have I been taught for the past 6 weeks=P It is an open-book, computer-based exam, so all ans have to be typed into the comp.
last weekend went over with the school to Berlin, it was a great and fun trip although it is rush, rush, rush all the way haha....shall update a post on the trip again soon....
& next sat morn, gng to fly back to spore le! I have mixed feelings, wanted to go home to my own room, taste my mum's fabulous dishes...but will definitely miss the carefree life here that allows me the chance to travel around during the weekends...

Prague weekend
Weekend getaway to Prague...beautiful small city...first time flying budget sterling...quite impressed by the large no. of passengers paying to get sandwiches & drinks on board...hee dont fancy flight food so i prefer the budget airlines no frills policy @ least i can choose not to pay for the food....prague airport actually let me feel at home as it reminds me of Spore maybe cos of its cleanliness & organised layout...
fri to sun was well-spent..thanks to loretta's rick steves travel guide book...so glad that loretta from canada who is in my GM class happened to want to travel to prague over the weekend too....met sis & elaine..& the four of us explored around prague...first day: Old Town (Astronomical clock, St Nicholas church's concert, Tyn church), Havelske Trziste Market; 2nd day: Prague Castle, Charles Bridge; 3rd day: Jewish Quarters, Old-new Synagorge, not forgetting the great food & shopping there hehe=P

Just reached cph airport. Net access need to pay so decided to type in MSword first to kill off the day here….or shld I say the night also. It is 10.30am now…need to wait till the next day 12pm before the hostel is open….
Saw windmills, the vv long high way (gotta check out the name) when the plane is touching down…there was a Swedish man sitting on my row of 3-seated….said he had stayed in Spore for 3 years…was a regional sales & marketing manager for the SEA region….cant rmb the coy name but mentioned something abt national oil & mfrg of plastic…was originally from the first class but was in economy cos the plane was full….quite friendly…tempted to ask abt job opportunities but didnt!!!

KIds, Children, Pri Schools...

was googling for info on kids mag for the cbs mod on adv & children...saw on a CNA forum posting:

1. Form teachers could teach english, maths, science, moral education, and PE as well. Basically, they could teach everything except Chinese.
2. Spelling, dictation, ting xie, and mo xie were all part & parcel of life. And so was mental sums.
3. Textbooks and workbooks were either Nespe or PEP.
4. Zero-point was the favourite recess activity for girls. And one-leg was the favourite recess activity for boys.
5. Time is not a constant - Recess is the shortest 30-minute period you'd ever find.
6. Every student could lay claim to being a "musician", cos we all learnt to play the recorder.
7. Debbie Gibson was the original Britney Spears.
8. Michael Jackson was the biggest thing in entertainment. Period.
9. Young Scientist Cards: To attain the badges, we had to earn a certain number of "stars" by completing certain tasks. Most people, including me, always went for the Young Zoologist or Young Botanist badge, cos they were the easiest. The ambitious ones would go for the Young Mathematician badge.
10. The Berlin Wall fell.
11. Gorbachev was a powerful guy. And he had that patch on his forehead.
12. Move over, Enid Blyton. Roald Dahl was the best writer in the world. Everyone was reading his books, e.g. BFG, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach.
13. But I still loved Enid Blyton's The Magic Faraway Tree though. One of the best books I ever read in primary school.
14. Two words: Constable Acai.
15. Every now and then during class, we would be told that it was our turn to go down to the school dentist for a checkup.
16. The school bookshop (well, it was more like a bookstand as it was just a small counter) was a really cool shop which sold really cool stuff, e.g. fancy erasers, fancy pens, fancy paper, etc.
17. "The Shaker" was the coolest mechanical pencil ever made. If you had one, you were cool. 18. The Lakers had "Showtime", the Pistons were the "Bad Boys", Bird was "Larry Legend", and Jordan won his first NBA title. Oh, and Kareem had those goggles.
19. The Reebok Pump was a cool invention.
20. After exams, we would bring Uno cards to play in class during free periods.
21. WWF wrestling was actually believable. And Hulk Hogan still looks the same today as he did 15 years ago.
22. The telephone was our only source of communication after school. If we needed to ask our classmates something, we actually had to pick up the home phone to make the call.
23. All the girls were reading "The Teenage Textbook" (together with "The Teenage Workbook"). Guys like me had no clue what the book was all about. And up till today, I still have no clue.
24. The school football field was hardly ever used for football. And neither was the volleyball court ever used for volleyball.
25. And the basketball court never had nets attached to the hoops. Even if it did, the nets never lasted more than 1 week.
26. Michael Chang won the French Open at age 17. And he was Chinese. (Well, American-Chinese...but we didn't know any better at that time.)
27. We could order milk packets to be delivered to our classroom every day.
28. Every guy wanted a "centre-parting" hairstyle, thanks to Aaron Kwok.
29. P6 was an important year. We had our BCG jab, we collected our Identity Cards, and we had to take our first major exam (PSLE).
30. We used to read Young Generation (YG) magazine. The only things I remember from the magazine are the names "Goofus & Gallant".
31. Michael J. Fox was a really cool actor. "Back to the Future" was the greatest trilogy I watched.
32. Teacher's Day was the day which we all did our best to show our love for our teachers, e.g. by making cards, gifts, etc. And it was also the day that our teachers tried their best not to scold any of us.
33. Iraq invaded Kuwait. Suddenly the whole world knew who Saddam Hussein was.
34. Ben Johnson was disqualified in the '88 Seoul Olympics after testing positive for steroids.
35. David Copperfield was the greatest magician who ever lived. Making the Statue of Liberty disappear was the coolest magic trick ever performed. And so was the trick with the two rubberbands.
36. The most popular colour pencils to use were the Colleen brand ones (y'know, the ones with two colours per pencil - one colour on each end, and usually came in boxes of 24 or 48 colours?). And the beige colour end was always the most heavily used, because that was the colour we needed to colour humans.
37. Autograph books were cool. Before leaving school in P6, you passed your autograph book all around class so that everyone could write some mushy stuff in it for keepsake.
38. Vanilla Ice's big hit was Ice Ice Baby. M.C. Hammer had U Can't Touch This, and C & C Music Factory had Everybody Dance Now.
39. The word "crush" only had one meaning back then, i.e. to break an object into smaller pieces. Apparently, some girls were aware of another meaning to the word.
40. The English Premier League wasn't as popular as it is today.

One whole week flew past.....
Nothing much accomplished in the week hehe guilty=P
MON: went suntec to fetch mum, shopped @ carrefour, tried the webcam & skype wif sis...
TUE: Forgot what i did..must be some lazing @ hme & tuition in the evening....
WED: Double "B" Day=( The day started bad with me wearing the inappropriate attire to a seminar by Gary Loveman on customer loyalty & growing tourist traffic....i wore jeans thinking tt it'll just be an usual nus talk...never expect to see dining tables in the hall....went central lib after tt...need to book the comp using matric card before accessing it....booked one...but a viet ger came up & said she had booked the comp when i had comfortably seated down & logged on.....okie the system screwed up? i stood up & said I'll book another comp....the moment im starting to use the other comp...another ger came & asked: "did you see a wallet lying around here?" "Hmz sorry but no idea...i have juz sat down lo"
was wif SJ & fio at marina fdcourt happily eating our dinner...SJ sggted we capture some pics....b4 we knew it...my cam went lens down into the saucer of chilli sauce=( shutter cant be shut properly after the chilli disaster...my attempt of using the lens cleaner to clean it only seems to worsen the cam's state...rmb tt nite i wanted to slp early hopping for the day to get by quickly...& hoping for the cam to recover by morn=Z
THU: sent the cam to casio svc centre @ gateway wif fio early in the morn...truthfully relate the cam incident to the lady...Mit ST @ int. plaza to go job agencies....then we go funan cos ST was sourcing for a printer....hehe she got a canon 3-in-1 one which i think is quite a gd deal=) Happily, collected my cam bck with changed lens & shutter, nicely cleaned up @ no charges despite the mishandling. Everything is under warranty. Gd & efficient svc @ casio....satisfied~

OKie todae is SAT...juz finished a book by jane blanchard (hehe managed to grab one frm SK lib)...quite soappy but happy ending i lyk=)

Ahem...i want to blog now haha...took a IT exam todae & it marks the end of sem2 in my yr3 nus. I wanted it to be over yet dun wan it to end so soon....ya actually starting to think that I like sch life after all...& noe tt i'll surely miss it after stepping into workplace no doubts abt it....
there are ups & downs in this semester....from the initial plan to go US on exchange & been so excited abt it to the last minute withdrawal....quite sadz abt it...but nvm it's the end of the sem after all & looking on the bright side it was a quite slack & enjoyable sem=)
was with jo, fio & ST after IT paper todae....all shagged from vigourously flipping thru the pages in the open bk exam haha....but we juz wan to go out!!! I wan to cos hve been stuck at home for the past week..8 days in exact except going for tuition....can't believe it now hehe.....ate the paperkind of jap steamboat (nt sure wat's it's called)....haha first time..the jap restaurant was kinda of cute...small place nt many customers...in fact think we are the only table...there are doraemon poster & sweet paintings on the wall....quite authentic feel cos tables & chairs are small wooden kinds...with wall & floor tiles....but jo said maybe can't afford to renovate haha cos of poor biz....the food was nice....but juz too much for us...free plates of crispy chicken...free flow of drinks....ops gain another pound=P

updates
ok some updates=) last wkend was a really tiring yet fulfilling one i must say....
It was the uniquely singapore race that fio, an, jo & me crazily signed up in a moment of enthusiasm....haha before the race itself...fio fell sick, followed by me..then tink jo also caught some of my virus heez...so no choice thou i hate it to go see doc..hve to force myself to go to the uni health centre @ yih to get some meds on thurs..juz 2 more days for me to recover b4 the sat race itself...luckily fri was a free dae...n i really doze thru the dae...ZzZ...
usr involves more walking than i tot...imagine walking frm bedok 85 mkt..pass thru tjc der...to siglap centre..n finally to east coast park...heez thou shld be running lah but who cares...we r not aimming to be the top 5 teams anw..knowing the minimal chance we hve with ard 90 other teams...we managed to complete all stops on day1 & hve to sleep on the cold hard floor @ east coast for the nitzz...but @ last der's a roof over the head & toilet facilities...the nxt day we started to hve the mentality of tourists touring ard spore frm qianhu, semb hot springs, sin satay club...
we completed the race in day2 using close to 35 hrs....35hrs staying 2gethr as a team..running across all parts of spore...helping one another out..seeing the diff sides of each of us...it was really a tiring but great xperience..maybe not so much on the race itself but the parts on laughing out loud among ourselves, our whinings, our cheerings, our crappings, our grumblings & really our understanding for one another....we completed the race!!!

we completed the race in day2 using close to 35 hrs....35hrs staying 2gethr as a team..running across all parts of spore...helping one another out..seeing the diff sides of each of us...it was really a tiring but great xperience..maybe not so much on the race itself but the parts on laughing out loud among ourselves, our whinings, our cheerings, our crappings, our grumblings & really our understanding for one another....we completed the race!!!

first try
haha it's 1.36am sun dawn....im browsing my sis bloggie & decided to create one myself just for the sake of fun...have been putting off creating a bloggie cos dun feel comfortable typing out my thots actually...so maybe this page wldnt have much updates after all haha...or who noes..maybe i got the hang of typing out my thots & will start to enjoy it....anw this shall be the beginning of my lalaland.....hahaha
